SO NOT TRUE...they still will continue to call! My parents receive many calls because of me & they call them non-stop even after telling them they don't know such a person. My dad was on his death bed, being harrased by these phone calls sometimes a few calls an hour til his passing and now my mother receives them! Not only do they not listen, they are extremely rude! Harrasement needs to STOP!Jen, they are only allowed to contact a third party ONCE and that is it. Otherwise, that is harassment. Also, they are allowed to call your job UNLESS you tell them they cannot and you have to also send them a letter stating that you do not want them to call your work EVER. If they do not receive this letter, they can continue to call your place of work.You must be the Michael Bell people are discribing. Which means you are a loser for being a bill collector. I picture you as a short, fat, bald headed, very ugly person that is angry at the world so you take a job where you can scream and yell and pester people. It makes you feel big. Have you ever heard the saying "You can catch more flies with honey"? It means if you are actually nice to people then they won't be so scared to talk to you, being the bill collector. You don't have any idea what the situation is the person you are harrassing may be in, and more than likely, you don't care. But I do believe in Karma-what comes around goes around. I believe all arrogant bill collectors will get what is due them.
